With no full-time judge, proceedings against Cong worker Marigowda delayed

May 6, 2017

Mysuru: Five months after the city police filed a chargesheet against Congress worker K Marigowda, who is facing charge of deterring public servant (former Mysuru DC C Shikha) from discharging duties, proceedings at a city court is delayed. Reason — the court administration is being run on an ad hoc basis.

After the transfer of full-time judge of III JMFC court in the last week of December 2016, the post has been lying vacant. Its administration is being run on ad hoc basis by deploying another judge as the in charge, sources claimed. Even in the recent appointment of judges, the post was not filled.
