SJCE alumnus pens book on management

Mysuru: Naveen Chandra R, an alumnus of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) here and presently working with an IT major in Bengaluru, has penned down his experience as a management person. His book – Campus to Corporate – is now available on various e-commerce platforms and has been appreciated by IT bigwigs and management gurus.
Speaking to TOI, Naveen Chandra R said the idea behind writing the book was helping young management trainees to understand the basics of management related factors, decision making and other issues. “I have worked in India and abroad. I have trained thousands of people. I have narrated my experience through this book. My conversations on training are here. This book is helpful for those who want to climb the management ladder faster and it could save a few years for them,” he said.

“I have divided the book into four parts. The tag line of my book is a concise street smart guide to world class career success. Whatever I have written is my experience as a trainer, team leader and in various positions,” he said.

“Modern management techniques are changing every day. Complementing each other is gaining more important than competition. I have discussed new management practices in this book. I have discussed about financial freedom separately as it is one of the key factors in career growth,” he said.

“For those who are looking for a career in the IT field, this book gives an overview of the life ahead. It prepares you for the opportunities at hand, to look ahead, transforms thinking and study and subtly gears up the mindset required for the next level of achievement,” he said.

“I have talked predominantly on Indian IT service provider industry. The ideas applicable to all the industries,” he said.

“I have talked about blockers, pitfalls, escalators and the way forward. I believe in the right career approach and ideas presented in this book can save ten years of career efforts,” he concluded.
