Mysuru: Infosys techie kidnapped by her ex-lover, rescued within 12 hours

MYSURU: A techie working in Infosys here, who was abducted by her friend, was rescued by city police within 12 hours of the incident. Police confirmed she was not harmed in any way.

Nethravathi, 24, was kidnapped from Mysuru on Monday morning by Naveen Kumar and his accomplices, Saravanan and Marudamalai, when she was with her friend Nithin in Hebbal police station limits. The trio bundled her into a car and fled.

Based on the information provided by Nithin, Hebbal police formed a team and, with the help of their counterparts in Bengaluru, arrested the trio near Whitefield, Bengaluru. They were arrested the same day and booked for kidnapping.

He was adamant about marrying her Nethravathi and Naveen had studied together in Tamil Nadu and they were in love. But Naveen got into trouble after his name figured in a criminal case and he was jailed for some time. After release on bail, he gathered information about Nethravathi and came to Mysuru to meet her.

Naveen was adamant about marrying Nethravathi but she was not willing. He tried to threaten her but landed in trouble. He had tried very hard to convince her to marry him but failed, said inspector Thimmegowda.
