MYSURU: An exclusive fever centre has been planned by the district health department authorities in Mysuru.

This will be the first such centre in Karnataka which aims to handle only cases of fever especially dengue, malaria and chikungunya. It will offer essential blood tests that are presently being done at district surveillance office at Nazarbad.
Dr M Pashupathi, resident medical officer at Epidemic Disease (ED) Hospital, on Friday told reporters that this is the first such experiment in state to address issues related to viral fever in the region.
The centre will come up at the ED Hospital‘s campus on KRS Road and it would start functioning from July.
