Abandoned Nepal Woman rescued in Mysuru
MYSURU: A Nepali woman in her mid-20s, who was found abandoned near Chikkanandi village in H D Kote taluk, has been rescued by department of Women and Child Welfare in Mysuru on Wednesday.
The woman was pregnant and unable to communicate either in local language or in Hindi. She neither disclosed her identity nor share anyone’s phone. How she landed at the village remains a mystery as she was not uttering a word. She was very weak and frail when villagers found her early on Wednesday.
HD Kote Santhavana Centre Coordinator Jaysheela said the woman was treated at a taluk health centre before she was shifted to Mysuru. She is now under the care of department and has been relocated to government-run centre for women in Mysuru, she said and added ” We tried our best to trace her identity but couldn’t.”
